It's my fifth Self-Performace Audit of the year. With effect from this month Audit, I am going to record my audit activities in this blog.

What Is A Self-Performance Audit

Security Self-Performance Audit is done to achieve the following objectives:-
1) To inspect security on duty to ensure complying with Security Standing Orders
2) To inspect security equipments to ensure that they are in good working conditions and in optimum use
3) To inspect physical security of the company during night time
4) To ensure alertness of security on duty on  night Shift
5) For security Manager to gain initiatives
6) To show to security personnel that security Manager is care about their working condition working on  night Shift
7) Help to monitor the alertness of MID hired guards that man the new and old Custom gates.

Today Self-Performance Audit (SPA)

These are my observations/Report for today SPA :-

1) Reached new custom gate at 2204hrs, and saw one guard inside the guard house without wearing security uniform , but instead a singlet. Not alert.

2) At 2204hrs when driving along the road where the construction of MEMCS is taking place, found that the spot lights were directed to the main road , may pose safety hazard to the drivers who drive along the road.

3) Reached X-FAB at about 2210hrs found that both of the beacon lights were not function. Two guards were on duty but without hand-held beacon light or the torch light. Directed SSE Stephen to replace the batteries of the beacon lights and the torch light. Also informed SSE Stephen to inform SSS Juing about the matter.

4) When reaching the round about in front of Harmony Walk, found the street lights at smoking Corner and the one mounted on FAB building were off. The condition was dark. Saw one vendor crossing the roundabout to smoking corner.

5) Went straight to SCR to inform Scecurity Supervisor on duty about my observation above, and inform him to take appropriate actions.

6) Went to office to check e-mail, and to approve AL Application via ESS.

7) Went to ground floor FAB and 2nd Floor FAB alone. No security violation observed.

8) Reached Harmony walk at about 2335hrs. Saw street light at smoking corner and the one mounted on FAB building wall were light off. One cafeteria staff was seen crossing the round about to smoking corner. Advised him to use the walk-path whenever he wants to go or come back from smoking corner.

9) On my way back realized that the street lights at the second round about from x-FAB, the lights were off.
